Noah & Raquel

I've known these two for a while, and Raquel has been featured in a past shoot, But I've always wanted to take photos of them both together!  Noah and Raquel are siblings and I am so pleased with how the pictures turned out.  We started out at a stream with a railroad tie bridge that is located across the street from an art school, and while the light was really harsh, we tried to work with what we had.  Not to mention my camera loved the faces I was photographing which always helps!

Class of 2012..Favorites from the Ladies!

This Summer I've had the great privilege of capturing some beautiful ladies for their senior photos!  These girls were so very natural in front of the camera (which helps SO much...nothing like a frustrated photographer with a model who won't relax, which hasn't been the case yet..thankfully) and were so fun to work with.

First I'll start with Andrea, she has been a great, close friend for a long time and I was so ecstatic when she mentioned that she would like me to do her senior photos, I mean, seriously, look at her EYES! Didn't even have to TOUCH them to get the color they are.

Next I need to brag about Melissa, who was not only very natural in front of the camera, she didn't mind me making her do some crazy stuff...like...climbing trees

...
anyways, she was a great sport about the whole shoot and it was great having her.  She's such a sweet girl and I know she's going to be one successful lady in the future.

Cheers,
Jacqueline

New Blog!

Welcome to the new blog!

Here I'll post different thoughts about photography, photos from recent shoots/event, and hopefully not anything that will bore you too much!
If you haven't checked out my work before, let me start out by telling you some about myself.  I'm a self-taught, but always learning photographer.  There are three words I would have to use when I describe myself; Quirky, Visual, and Passionate.  I strive to apply those three words to my work as a photographer as well, because every artist has a different style, and hey, who wants a boring picture?  Not anyone I know!

I'm constantly learning from my work plus critiques from other fellow photographers, and I actually have never taken a photography class in my life.  I'm very self-taught on a tight budget so I work with what I have, me, a couple photography books, and a Canon DSLR that is basically a well-loved tumor that never leaves my side (remember, I said I was quirky!).
